KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA

St. John's School Celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava with Fervor November 6th marked a special day at St. John's School as we proudly celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava, honoring the formation of our beloved state, Karnataka. The festivities began with a captivating welcome dance, setting the tone for a day filled with patriotism and cultural richness. Our talented students showcased their love for Kannada through:- Melodious songs that echoed the state's glory.- Vibrant dance that celebrated Karnataka's heritage.- Inspiring speeches that highlighted the importance of unity and pride.- Students, dressed in the traditional attire of various districts, shared information about each district. The event was a heartfelt tribute to our state's history, language, and culture.

Obituary

Ruby Ma’am wasn’t just the force behind St. John’s School—she was our guiding star, our mentor, our leader, and a true inspiration to every one of us. Her warmth, vision, and endless dedication touched our lives in ways that should be our source of motivation in the coming days.

 

Ruby Ma’am built this school from the ground up with passion and a belief in the power of education. She instilled in us values of compassion, resilience, and excellence, which will continue to guide us. Her contributions are the very foundation upon which we stand, and her spirit will forever be a part of St. John’s School.

 

Let’s use this time to come together and support each other through this difficult period. Let us take solace in the fact that we are all united by the love and respect we have for Ruby Ma’am.

 

As we honor Ruby Ma’am’s memory, let’s also commit to carrying forward her vision and values in everything we do. Her legacy lives on in every classroom, every student, and every one of us who had the privilege of knowing her.

The week that was! 

Our school is a busy beehive of activity. We have various activities, competitions and events to keep our young minds stimulated. This section captures all that our students have been doing over the past few days.

Embroidery Activities

Embroidery activity at St John's school aimed to introduce students to the art of embroidery, fostering creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for traditional crafts. The activity spanned several sessions and engaged students across different age groups

Nutrition Awareness 

St. John's School organized a Nutrition Awareness Program on March 2nd, 2024, with the primary objective of highlighting the significance of maintaining a balanced diet for overall health and well-being. The program aimed to raise awareness among students, particularly emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition in preventing malnutrition. Additionally, it sought to educate students about the significance of hygiene practices, focusing on understanding macronutrients for better health outcomes.

Green Day Celebration

The Colour Green which represents prosperity and fertility was celebrated by the kindergarten kids as green day. Children were taught about the importance of the colour. Bubbling with enthusiasm in their astonishing green costumes the little ones created a pleasant, harmonious and refreshing aura.

Club Activity - 1

“I can do things you cannot,

You can do things I cannot;

Together we can do great things!”

Clubs are aimed at providing a platform for the children to not only showcase their talent, but also gain more knowledge in the chosen subject. The various Club Activities were held for children of Grade 1 to Grade 10 across different disciplines like Science club, Sports Club, Cookery club, Art Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Literature club, Math Club, and more.

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers of St. John's school with great enthusiasm. Students of grade I to XII demonstrated various yoga asanas. Warm up exercises were done, and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, the importance of which were explained simultaneously.

Father’s Day Celebration

On June 22nd, 2024, the tiny tots of St. John's School celebrated the selfless love of their fathers with a heartwarming event dedicated to Father’s Day. The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and bonding as fathers and their children participated in a series of fun-filled activities and games.

The event kicked off with fathers and their kids forming perfect duos, ready to share experiences and create lasting memories. They enthusiastically participated in various games, each designed to foster teamwork and strengthen their unique bond. The event included games like Blow the balloon and push up the paper cups, bounce the balloon in the air and arrange the pyramid with paper cups, collecting the ball while carrying your child, picking the rubber band using chopsticks.

The event culminated in a prize-giving ceremony where winners were applauded, and their faces beamed with pride and joy. The smiles on everyone's faces were a testament to the fun and love shared throughout the day.

As the saying goes, "Dads are the most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, superheroes, and above all, a perfect man for his child."
