World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, St. Johns School organized a series of engaging activities for students. The day began with a special assembly for both high school and primary students, where teachers highlighted the importance of environmental conservation. The school choir presented a beautiful song, followed by student performances, including a skit and a dance. After the assembly, high school students participated in an awareness rally around Coffee Board Layout, spreading the message of environmental protection. Upon returning, they took part in a thumb impression activity. Meanwhile, primary students enjoyed a creative session in their classrooms, crafting beautiful artwork using leaves and flowers. The celebrations culminated with students across the school planting seeds and saplings with our Principal Ms. Vimala A Philips and our Management facilitator and counsellor Ms. Suma Rao, reinforcing their commitment to a greener planet.

This year, St. John’s School is proud to launch a special eco-initiative—distributing 1,500 Seed Boxes (with 3 seed balls each) to our students and staff which can be planted in pots, gardens, or any green corner at home, and together, we’ll grow 4,500 green warriors for our planet. Small hands, big impact. A heartfelt thank you to our visionary Chairman, Mr. Melwin Reddy, and Vice Chairperson, Ms. Shalini Melwin Reddy, for their unwavering commitment to sustainability. From solar-powered school blocks to our upcoming rainwater harvesting system, their leadership is helping build a greener future—one step at a time!
